Her story began with her foster parents, Beth and James, when she was just one day old. For the following ninety days, Beth and James were blessed to live an adventure filled with emotions and experiences that neither of them could have anticipated. They had no idea that a handful of fuzzy little birds could bring so much joy, sadness, and hope to their lives; all because one courageous little duck would not leave anyone behind.

She was called SuzyQ, a name given to her by Beth, when the little duckling arrived at her new home to join her siblings as a member of the AFO (All For One) flock. She and the rest of her brood enjoyed a loving home: growing up together, playing with leaves, chasing bugs, eating grass, and swimming in their pink pool. Until their simple, secure life was forever interrupted.
